I never planned on a career in front of the camera. Sometimes the best chapters start that way.
I grew up in a small town in the United States, the kind of place where everybody knows everybody and ambition feels like a quiet secret you keep to yourself. I was restless. I wanted something bigger, something that felt like mine. In 2021, I took a chance on an opportunity that came through a photographer I'd been talking to online. That decision reshaped everything.
What struck me early on was how much I enjoyed the collaborative side of this work. A set is a strange, fast-moving ecosystem — lighting crews, directors, makeup artists, other performers — and I thrived in that chaos. I learned to read a room, to bring energy when the hours got long, and to treat every scene as a craft that rewards preparation over luck.
Outside of shoots, I keep things quiet. I read a lot — mostly thrillers and narrative nonfiction. I've become mildly obsessed with cooking, though I still can't get a soufflé to rise consistently. Travel has taken me to cities I'd only ever seen in photographs, and the list keeps growing. I value privacy, which probably sounds ironic given my line of work, but I've found a balance that works for me.
